The boys golf team finished its season with a record of 2-9. They competed in the Western League against teams such as University, Westchester, LACES and Carson, which, according to Coach Kevin Behrendt, are “very strong teams this year,” with University finishing fourth in the City Tournament.
“This season was fun because this year’s schools were very competitive,” said junior golfer Tenzing Sherpa.
“The boys showed tremendous improvement throughout the season,” said Coach Behrendt. “This year was a building season for the boys. Of our top players, four are either freshman or sophomores.” However he has high hopes for the next couple of seasons.
“It takes a tremendous amount of individual dedication to succeed in golf and I am confident that the boys will put in the necessary practice to lift the team back to a contender,” the coach said.
