In the Help the Handi Club, students step out of their comfort zone and help the

community. It’s always fun to experience new things and in this club students will have

that opportunity, said sponsor Jennifer Lisowski.

Students get the chance to help disabled students participate in sporting

events, support Special Olympics and other community events where disabled students

are able to play sports just like any other high school student. Members even get the

chance to play with the students every so often.

All students need to join this club is enthusiasm and hard work. They also have to

be willing to give up some of their Saturdays to help out at certain events but they’ll

have fun and also earn community service hours which are required for graduation. To

find out more, go to Room 108 on Thursdays during lunch.
