Students Run Los Angeles is a club in which students train for the Los Angeles Marathon. Meetings are on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school in Room 54 at 3:30 p.m. Join now before early October because students will need a physical exam, and only 25 students can be sponsored to run the marathon. The sooner students go the more chance students have of getting a spot.

“This club is about staying fit, it’s about setting goals and sense of accomplishment. Completion over competition,” said Mr. Michael Smith, one of the teachers who train students for the Los Angeles Marathon. He’s been training students for 11 years.

“I like the free stuff we get like shirts, shorts, sweater, shoes and the medals after runs we go to,” said junior Edgar Corona, who has been in SRLA for over a year.
