Respect Your Teachers

I believe that it’s unacceptable to be disrespectful to teachers. I often see students blatantly disrespecting their teachers without reason. If a teacher gets upset at you for doing something you aren’t supposed to be doing, like using your phone or talking when they shouldn’t be, they have every right to be upset and shouldn’t be given attitude for calling you out on it.

Most teachers work extremely hard and shouldn’t be treated in such an impolite way. Teachers are here before and after school to tutor students who need it which is really kind, considering they’re taking time out of their own schedules. Hard-working teachers deserve recognition for being so dedicated to their jobs.

Of course there is a counter argument. Students consider as teachers rude when they take a student’s phone or tell them to be quiet. Teachers are hardly ever rude to students and on that rare occasion where a teacher actually is bad-mannered, it is almost never without a reason.

If you’re disrespecting your teacher, then they might lose their temper and be just as impolite to you. If you are courteous to your teachers, they will most likely respond in the same way, so keep that in mind the next time you are being disrespectful to your teachers.
