Softball Update

The girl’s varsity softball team’s most recent game was successful against Arleta high School with a knockout score of 11-2 on March 8.

Team members seem optimistic and determined to continue winning future games, and they hope to reach the championships this season.

“ As a team, we work very hard,” said Varsity player Chynna Garrett, ”My expectations for the season is to win the championship and also grow as a player.”

“We got a lot of new players and we’re more determined,” said junior Natalee Echavarria.

On March 6, the softball team lost to Culver City with a score of 3-1.

On Feb. 2, Venice lost to Bell Gardens with a score of 6-3 following a loss on Feb. 25, to Glendale, 3-2.

At their first home game of the season on March 7, the girls varsity softball team won against Harbor Teacher Prep Academy with an outstanding final score 5-3.

During the game against Harbor Prep, the players in the dugout persistently chanted “Good Eye!” showing a great amount of school spirit.
