Venice High’s boy’s volleyball team ended their season with a loss in the second round of the Division One City Championships in their game against Taft High School on May 9. Their league record was 6-4 and their overall record this season was 17-18.

“The best part about volleyball is the group of guys, and how we’ve all become good friends,” said senior Scott Kenberg.

According to Kenberg, the team’s in-season record wasn’t as good as it could have been, but they really hit their stride at the end, which put them against tough teams in the championships, like Taft High School.

Senior Jordan West was happy with the connections he made with his fellow teammates.

“My favorite part [about volleyball] for me was the improvement we made as a team. Volleyball was fun after that. The bond that we made throughout the season was extremely fun and memorable,” said West.
