Marcos Sandoval
Thank you Seniors!
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to walk besides you throughout your high school
career.
As the faculty advisor for the class of 2021, you will forever hold a special place in my heart. It
has been an absolute pleasure watching you grow from wide-eyed freshmen into young adults.
Many of your lockers were in the same building as I teach, and it gave me the distinct
perspective of witnessing you converse with one another inside and outside of the classroom.
The highlights of my day were the interactions we had during nutrition and lunch. I appreciated
sharing in your laughter and cheering on your accomplishments. From the tea that was spilled
to the jokes that we shared, the moments of camaraderie we shared made even the more
challenging days enjoyable.
As an alumnus of Venice high school, I can honestly say the time you spent here will forever be a
part of you. Continue to row, but allow yourselves the chance to drift every now and then. Enjoy
this next chapter of your lives, and the new memories you make. My hope for this year’s class is
that you’ll be able to look back at your time spent as a gondolier with fondness and pride.
Thank you once more for making my first four years as an educator at Venice high memorable.
My doors will always be open to you.
Best Wishes,
-Mr. Sandoval-
