With Christmas around the corner many people like to stay home, cuddle and watch movies. These are ABC Family’s top movie picks for the season.

1. Elf
After causing trouble in the North Pole due to his large size, Buddy, a man who is raised as an elf, goes in search to North America to find out who he actually is.
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
The grumpy Grinch decides to ruin Christmas for the citizens of Whoville by going into their town from his mountaintop and stealing everyone’s joy for the holiday. But in doing so, he meets Cindy Lou Who and is enthralled by her.
3. The Polar Express
A young boy takes a train ride to the North Pole where he learns about life’s magical adventures and discovers the wonders that life provides through self-discovery.
4. The Nightmare Before Christmas
Jack Skellington, king of Halloween Town, becomes bored of his town and goes out to seek something new. Jack Skellington discovers the Christmas door that unknowingly leads to Christmas Town.
5. Home Alone 3
A nine-year-old boy living in Chicago receives a toy car as a Christmas gift that contains a chip that Korean spies are searching for. The boy becomes their target and defends himself with booby traps.
