Venice High has announced the list of recipients for the Jacket of Excellence, an award given to students who have demonstrated excellence throughout their 4 years of High School. A ceremony and a luncheon will be held in the student cafeteria Jan 29, 2016, to celebrate these seniors’ accomplishments. School will be released at 12:35 because of the ceremony.

35 students will receive their jackets tomorrow during the luncheon and they are: Joshua Alaie, Hagar Hassan Ali, Mariam Aly, Tanapat Ampornprapha, Daniel Anderson, Wendy Arce, Sara Babakhyi, Jeny Bannon, Ashley Briones, Catherine Barrie, Maina Cioni, John Covarrubias, Corynn Craig, Alexander De La Cruz, Ugyen Dorji, Simon Greiner, Iris Jacobs, Laura Johnson, Mellia Kanani, Emily Kang, Emily Lui, Benjamin Melechin, Merlyn Miano, Jocelyn Morales, Lauren Moy, Karina Orozco, Ine Richards, Miranda Robinson, Andrew J. Selvo, Anika Troeger, Graciela Trujillo, Yesenia Vargas, Jennifer Vazquez, Blake Wakasa, and William Yi.

These students have gone beyond the average scholars on campus. They have attended Venice High School since 9^th grade, earned a cumulative unweighted of 3.75 GPA, and participated in extra-curricular activities and have exhibited excellent behavior.
