The cheering audience of the class of 2016 chanted cheers of joy when class sponsor, Ms. Andrea Page, announced the Prom King, Devante Scovell, and Prom Queen, Daisy Sharma.

The dimmed lights of the Madame Tussauds Hollywood wax museum had the spotlight on the prom court that also included the Prom Princesses and Princes of the night. Simon Greiner and Juanito Hernandez were announced Princes of the night. Emily Lui and Elizabeth Pineda were crowned Princesses of the night.

Scovell was overjoyed with the clapping audience as his name was called. “I made the decision to run for Prom King because I wanted to win,” said Scovell. “I wanted to be proud of myself and feel awesome.”

Sharma’s contagious smile reflected her immense happiness upon being crowned, “winning Prom Queen was an incredible feeling!,” said Sharma. “It has been a dream since I was little.”
