MESA

MESA (Math, Engineering, Science Achievement) is a national organization that has striven to help disadvantaged students to become engineers, scientists and other mathbased professionals urgently needed by the job market, according to the Venice High website. The sponsor of MESA, Mr. Donald Holland, said that this year the club received $400 for more projects.
“It has been a cool experience being there and has taught me different engineering skills mostly,” said Janet Reyes, currently a member of MESA who’s a junior. Similarly, it looks good on college applications. The club meets every Tuesday at lunch in Shop 2. New members, with grades no lower than a C, can sign up anytime.
