Scroll through your Twitter feed and you’ll most likely find memes and tweets regarding the very public Kardashian-Woods cheating scandal that has left drama-savvy fans hysterical. Rising influencer Jordyn Woods, who was also a close family friend to the Kardashians, particularly to Khloe’s younger half-sister Kylie Jenner, was spotted kissing basketball star and Khloe’s ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson. The interchange between the two happened at a house party where Khloe was not present.

Khloe took to Twitter to express her disdain towards Woods after the 21-year-old appeared on the Red Table Talk show, where Woods spilled her side of the story.

In the end, it’s their business to deal with. However, these celebrities should’ve handled the messy situation in a more mature way by discussing it in private. It seems highly unnecessary for anyone involved in the drama to actually make it the public’s business. With a Kardashian involved, the incident got so much publicity that it could possibly burn out as another piece of gossip for the celebrities to capitalize on.  They stir up drama to make money from the publicity.

“I’m no homewrecker,” said Woods to interviewer Jada Smith on the talk show. “I would never try to hurt someone’s home, especially someone that I love. Especially someone who has a beautiful daughter.”

When asked about the kiss the two shared, Woods answered on the show that it was “just no passion, no nothing on the way out.”

In response to Woods’ appearance on the talk show, Khloe sent out a contemptuous tweet on March 1 that read, “Why are you lying @jordynwoods ?? If you’re going to try and save yourself by going public, INSTEAD OF CALLING ME PRIVATELY TO APOLOGIZE FIRST, at least be HONEST about your story.” Khloe went on to accuse Woods of breaking up her family.

The Kardashians and their fans seem to be throwing Woods under the bus with barely any mention of Thompson.

It takes two to cheat and it shouldn’t have been a surprise that Thompson was going to cheat again after having a past of not staying loyal to Khloe. As a much older woman with an elite successful platform, Khloe should have had better judgment than to publicly address Woods of breaking up her family.

The person who may be the most deeply affected by this unneeded drama might be Kardashian and Thompson’s baby daughter True Thompson.

The lack of good co-parenting and an infamous cheating scandal involving a dear family friend could haunt True as she grows up in the spotlight. Maybe the price to pay for being a celebrity is that there’s always going to be unmatched social power, inevitable drama and a public audience who wants to speculate very closely. There are way more important issues to focus on in the world.
