Football, 6-3, will host the 9-2 Reseda Regents in the CIF semifinals today. The game will be at 7 P.M.

The Gondoliers are coming off a 47-16 blowout win over the South East Jaguars in the CIF quarterfinals.

It was a vibrant atmosphere with many people in the stands screaming on the top of their lungs.

Gasca was surprised by the margin of victory.

“I didn’t expect to beat a team this badly,” he said. “Overall, I think we can play better because now we’re in the semifinals and all the teams left are good.

The Gondoliers are in the final four of Division 1 and Gasca is thankful they have home court advantage.

South East coach Ramon Altamirano described the Gondos as “tough.”

“Your guys’ program is a really good program from top to bottom,” he said.

Altamirano was happy that his team’s season ended against a good team like the Gondoliers and that they were able to keep up in the first half.

“It shows that our program is in the right direction because two years ago we were in Division 2,” Altamirano said. “This is our first year in Division 1 since 2011-2012, so improvements have been encouraging ever since I took over the program.”
