The student body has elected the Associated Student Body (ASB) cabinet and results are in.
Senior Charley Leal is the new president; junior Faith Lister is vice president; junior Jordan Thompsan is treasurer; junior Theo Kinsella is secretary; junior Natalie Boothby is historian respectively.
Leal is excited about her new position and ready to make changes to improve the school.
“I’m hoping to make our school more of a community with one another,” she said. “I feel like sometimes we are divided. We need to make more fun events and add games to pep rallies to make it so peers can come and talk to one another.”
In her role, Leal will advocate for a student parking lot, and for mental health days during finals week.
Lister said that this year’s cabinet has confidence in their ability to work well together and be effective.
“They are the right people for the job, and everyone in the cabinet is committed to doing their job to the best of their ability,” she said.
Lister said that she is determined to clean up our campus and implement strategies to beautify and maintain the excellence of our campus.
The cabinet is also receptive to the opinions of the student body, according to Lister, who oversees the Student Outreach Committee.
“I’m hoping to improve the school in many aspects, but first by prioritizing and taking into account what the student body wants to improve,” she said.
Treasurer Jordan Thompsan also has the same confidence in the cabinet saying.
“I think that we will have a lot of good chemistry and be good at collaborating with each other,” he said.
Charley Leal closed off by saying “I love the rest of my cabinet. I’m excited to work with all of them. I think this is going to be a really good cabinet and we’re going to have a lot of great things coming your way.
