Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, better known as M.E.Ch.A, is a great opportunity not only for students to meet new people and connect over common interests. Members also meet to discuss issues such as gentrification and to help bring about the change they wish to see in the world, according to the club’s president, Mireya Curiel.

M.E.Ch.A is “a student club that promotes higher education, cultura, and historia,” said the club’s sponsor, Lydia Ponce. Anyone and everyone that is interested can join.

It meets on Thursdays at lunch in Shop 1.
