Venice High School’s girls volleyball season is coming to a close. With an overall record of 21-11, their season has been phenomenal.

“We are second place in the Western League and we are currently eighth place in the LA City Section,” said Volleyball Coach Robin Hunt. Last year the team won the City Division Championship.

On Saturday, Oct. 14, the team attended a tournament at Sylmar High School which resulted in a great win.

“We won first place undefeated at our tournament,” said senior captain Amanda Sanchez.

With an overall great season so far, their league games came to a close with their last game on Oct. 23.

Their great rankings have secured them a spot in the City Section playoff games which will be held on Nov. 2 at home.

“I’m really excited for our first playoff game,” said senior captain Camille Golden. “We’re going to kill it!”
