Netflix Shows You Should Watch

Have you ever had one of those lazy days, where all you want to do is stay in and watch Netflix all day? But every show you click on doesn’t seem interesting.To save you some trouble, The Oarsman has selected the following shows due to their popularity.
1.Black Mirror:
Black Mirror is a scary sci-f yet realistic show. The show has different stories in each episode but the main idea revolves around dark and scary themes that analyze a near future society and the unanticipated consequences of new technology. The show has finished filming season 4, there’s still no release date for it.
Stranger Things:
2.Stranger Things recently released its second season and the show takes place in the 1980s. The first season of the show revolves around a group of kids who are trying to find their friend, Will Byers, who went missing in the first episode. The main antagonists in the show are scary creatures from a flipped reality called The Upside Down who kidnapped Will.
3. Orange is the New Black:
This show is based off the book with the same title that’s about a white middle-class woman named Piper Chapman who was imprisoned for associating with a drug dealer 10 years prior. The show details her journey getting comfortable in prison and her prison mates.
4. BoJack Horseman:
This is one of the best shows on Netflix and it isn’t that well known. It’s set in a world where human-like animals and people live side by side. The comedy is about a horse named BoJack who was a star of a sitcom in the 90’s but is now a drunk and tries to get back into the spotlight.
5. Mind Hunter:
The show is about FBI agents Holden Ford and Bill Tench who attempt to understand and also catch serial killers by studying their damaged psyches. Along the way, the agents also help develop serial-killer profiling.
6. 13 Reasons Why:
This is about a teenage girl named Hannah Baker who takes her own life and leaves behind a suicide note in the form of 13 cassette tapes. Each tape is directed to 13 people who had a part in her decision to commit suicide. The tapes are then passed around within those 13 people. They have to keep the contents of the tapes a secret. The secrets could ruin relationships, cost the school millions in a lawsuit and incriminate the students on the tapes too.
7. A Series of Unfortunate Events:
The show is based off the books about three orphans Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire, who are investigating their parents’ mysterious death. The siblings are stranded with an evil guardian named Count Olaf, who will do whatever it takes to get their inheritance. Violet, Klaus, and Sunny must outsmart Olaf every time they get new guardians, foiling devious plans and disguises. The show came out earlier this year and more seasons are expected.
8. Narcos:
The show is about the rise and fall of Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar and the drug cartel. The show has acted scenes and real news footage. The show is mainly about the Colombian drug trade and the rise of cocaine in South America and its expansion into the United States in the ‘80s. The characters do add more entertaining elements to the show. The show now has three seasons.
