Mya Gates, Photographer and Illustrator
Kon’nichiwa! I’m Mya and I am a part of Venice High School’s Journalism staff in the 2017-2018 school year. I’m an Entertainment reporter, Illustrator and Photographer. Some of my hobbies include playing video games, watching anime (all-time favorite anime is “Angel Beats!”), drawing, reading and listening to music. I’m also an enormous animal lover and have been vegan since January 2017! My zodiac sign is a Sagittarius and strongly believe in horoscopes and star signs. And, believe it or not, I’m in love with the Twilight Saga — cringe, I know. I also find comfort in dyeing my hair — frequently — because I really enjoy standing out and having a very out of the ordinary appearance. Arigato gozaimasu!
