As the girls water polo team ends it’s season, after the team’s loss in the first round of play-offs against Granada Hills with a score of 11-4, swim season begins.

The swim team has at least 90 swimmers and 4 divers, they practice everyday until 4:30 and hope to get far this season. The team is so large that they have to take turns swimming laps.

The first swim meet the team had was on Feb. 26 against Culver City High School. Three out of four teams, varsity and jv girls and varsity boys won.

“We are preparing hard for this season and I think we will get a lot further than we did for water polo,” said senior Haley Girouard, who is on water polo and swim teams.

The swim team has a JV team and a varsity team however they only have one coach, Sophie Sabbah. The previous JV coach had to leave due to financial issues however the team says they miss their old coach.

The team is training hard every day and hope to get to city-finals.
