The Venice boys water polo team played Palisades high school in their second-round playoff game on Thursday, November 1, losing 19-5.

This year’s water polo team stayed strong throughout the end of their season and so through the post-season, with an overall record of 11-7, and an almost perfect record in the Western League at 6-2. They enjoyed a three game winning streak in September against Santa Ana Valley, Godinez and La Mirada high school.

“It’s been great watching the team learn to work together, as we got many new faces to play water polo this season,” said senior Shu Watanabe. “I’ve seen many players improve and get much better at the sport.”

Congratulations to the Venice boys varsity water polo team on a great season, we look forward to watching you play next year!
