The Oarsman Report covers the Jacket of Excellence event at Venice High, which overlaps with the fifth day of the LA Teacher strike. Teachers and students are usually gathered together at this event to celebrate the students’ academic achievement, but due to the strike, teachers could not attend. A few students organized a mini “demonstration.”
