The Homecoming Dance took place Oct. 26 from 7 to 10:30 p.m. Students from all grades got to spend time with friends or significant others to enjoy time with them. The Venice Oarsman asked students what their favorite part of homecoming dance was.

Catherine Gallegos, Junior:

“My favorite part was when they played the song “The Caballo Dorado” where you have to step two sides to each side like to the left, right, front and back. It was really frustrating though, because there was a bunch of students just standing there and they didn’t do the dance so I was like come on now, aren’t you going to dance?”

Kimberly Raygoza, Senior:

“One of my favorite parts of the Homecoming Dance were the decorations because the ASB team and I put long hours into it so it could look good. I also liked the music and seeing everyone having fun and having a good time. Overall, Homecoming was a success.”

Fuji Reed, Senior:

“My favorite part of Homecoming was hanging out with friends, dancing and just overall having a good time. I am a senior so this is my last time going, but I had a pretty good time. One memorable thing I did was doing the Dougie with all of my homies. It was pretty lit.”
