Baseball, 2-4, Ready To Play Hamilton For A Second Time In Two Weeks

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Baseball, currently 2-4, is “off to a rough” start, but is fighting their way to get back on top, said senior Kevin Blake, a captain with juniors Canon King and Noel Moreno.

This team won’t give up, and they will bring the heat to the Hamilton Yankees today at home. It’s their second game against Hamilton.

“We’re trying to stay on,” he said. “We got a good win against Hamilton and we’re trying to stay on track,” Blake said. “We played well—defense needs some work, but we hit pretty well.

According to coach Kevin Brockway, the Gondos need to keep improving on hitting and making less mistakes.

“They’re going to work on the things they were deficient at during the first meeting with Hamilton and then other normal routines,” he said.

Despite some setbacks, Brockway is very proud of his team.

“They played mighty fine—we played six games and we played very well in five of those games. But overall, every moment I’m proud of them no matter how they perform,” he said.
