Marivel Ocampo, a Spanish teacher who has been teaching at Venice for over 25 years, retired this year.

“I will miss Ms. Ocampo’s outfits and the way she treated me when I was in her class,” said Maya Gates, a junior who had Ms. Ocampo her freshman year.

“I will miss how much she cared of my well being. My favorite memory of Ms. Ocampo was when a student braided her hair,” said April Cuarenta, a junior who had Ms. Ocampo her sophomore year.

The Venice High School students and staff will dearly miss Ms. Ocampo.
