State Superintendent Visits Venice High School

Tom Torlakson, State Superintendent of Public Instruction and former State Senator, visits Venice High School to acknowledge Kristen Farrell, the Sports Medicine teacher at Venice High, for being awarded Teacher of the Year. Mr.Torlakson met with Venice students that organized the Parkland Walkout, watched a poetry slam performance on school shootings, and was interviewed by The Oarsman Report before going into Shop 6, Ms.Farrell’s classroom. There, he does activities with the students such as CPR.
