“Let Your Imagination Fly” is the motto of the PTSA Reflections exhibit on display in the Venice High auditorium starting April 7 and continuing the MEDIA art show April 19th to 21st. Several students from Venice High won awards for their artwork.

The students who won awards are Mykenzie Carvalho, Iris Jacobs, Melissa Kitagawa,Juan Vargas, Joanna Galvez, Laura Johnson, Leila McClure, and Rene Torres-Vasquez. And a honorable mention was given to Claire Combredet and Mya Gates.

Torres-Vasquez won a Award of Merit for his art, but sadly didn’t receive any news about it.The awards are supposed to come in the mail. “I’ve turned in my art at the Parent Center and I never heard from anyone”, said Torres-­Vasquez.

The art show will take place Tuesday to Thursday, April 19 to 21, during the day for students to visit and the evening of Tuesday, April 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for the community.
