The Venice Robotics team hosted a Los Angeles FIRST Tech Challenge Qualifier for the first time here at Venice High School on Jan. 24. The West Gym was used as the venue for the competition, and Venice did not compete. Instead, Venice Robotics members and students volunteered at the event. Valentine Saxy Grams Available

The school band will visit classrooms and play music for students and teachers who receive a "Saxy Gram."  on Friday, Feb. 13 in honor of Valentine's Day. The band is offering the saxy grams as a fundraiser.  The recipients will also receive a candy gram. The band members will be playing the song "Careless Whisper." The band will be selling the saxy grams during lunch and after school on Mondays and Wednesday in the Band Room (Room 3, by the auditorium). They cost $8 if ordered before Feb. 8, $10 if ordered after Feb. 9.
