Reading Time: < 1 minute

Girls’ volleyball, 11-2, faced the LACES Unicorns today at home at 4:30 p.m. They have had a winning streak against every team they have faced so far besides Palisades.

“We’re almost halfway through our league play, and I think all the pieces are coming together and this past weekend at the tournament was a great reflection of that,” said senior Tinoa Woodward-Hart, a captain.

Having a strong mindset is a big part of going into tough matches like Palisades.
“We need to know whether or not we can beat them, and we should be able to,” she said.
Woodward-Hart said that since they are such a new and young team “that it’ll take time to find that cohesiveness and find what works best for us in terms of offensive and defensive systems.”

The Gondoliers beat Fairfax 3-0 Monday. The team has been performing brilliantly so far this season. winning the majority of the competitions during the weekend.

Last Saturday Palisades beat Venice 2-0 ; In the match, the Gondoliers focused on having a proper game plan.

“It was a much more competitive game,” Woodward-Hart said. “We were all following the game plan much better.

The team will face Palisades again Thursday, Sept. 28.
