Girls’ basketball, 7-23, ended their season at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers, 9-18, during the first round of the CIF LA Division One City playoffs.

Senior Taylor Nagamine, a captain alongside junior Remy Castillo, believes that the team as a whole would’ve been more successful if there was stronger team chemistry.
“I feel like we play well individually, but we don’t play as well as a team,” she said. “So that’s what we need to work on in the future”
Despite their early exit, the Gondoliers have a strong future thanks to their successful underclassmen of the likes of freshman Leah Mitsubishi and Malia Embuido.

“We started playing better together instead of as individuals,” said Nagamine. “The team has improved in all ways compared to the last few years.”
