The girl’s water polo ended their season with a pretty good record overall, which was 4-4. They made it to the first round of playoffs and lost to El Camino Real at Pierce College on Feb.10, with an ending score of 10 to 5.

“The ref was really biased towards our team, calling wrong five-meter calls, and kick-outs,” said team captain Danielle Cid.

“Everything happens for a reason, we might have lost, but I had a great experience and want to continue to play water polo in college,” said team captain Ingrid Hernandez.

Team members feel that this season overall was pretty tough due to the fact that there were a lot of new girls this year that they were new to the sport and swimming, but there was a lot of potential.

Cid is joining the Marines after high school and hopes to get placed in Hawaii. Hernandez got accepted to UC Berkeley and wants to major in biological sciences.
