The Venice High Arts Guild, a subsidiary of the Venice High Alumni Association, has teamed up with The Penmar, here in Venice, to raise funds for our arts programs.
Next Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, they’ll be hosting a fundraiser at The Penmar in Venice. The Penmar is a restaurant and golf course in Venice, known for its greenery.
The Venice High Arts Guild is a group of Venice alumni that helps fundraise for Venice’s different art programs.
To participate in this fundraiser, anyone who has a meal at Penmar can then drop their receipt in the dedicated box, and 20 percent of the bill will be paid to the Venice High Arts Guild. Diners can attend breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and attend as many times as they want.
Just last year they received a grant for $20,000 to enhance the sound system in the auditorium, according to Larry Hudson, the Venice High Arts Guild’s chairperson. They also directly support the teachers, such as earlier this year when they helped film teacher Charlotte Medina purchase around half a dozen tripods for her students.
This fundraiser is an amazing opportunity to support local businesses and support the Venice Arts Programs, while also enjoying a great meal.
