New fashion trends resurface the internet all year round. If you look around school, there is always that one article of clothing that everyone seems to be wearing. At this time of the year, it’s Uggs.
There are three staple shoes
- Sneakers
- Dress shoes
- Comfy shoes
It looks like people are blurring the line between sneakers and comfy shoes. To the point where Uggs literally created sneakers, made of the same material as Uggs.
Days are getting gloomier and people are bringing out their jackets from the back of their closets. Summer is coming to an end but when have you ever seen someone wear Uggs to the beach? Yes actually, you probably have. We are wearing winter shoes for a summer activity.
They are no longer worn for their purpose of keeping your feet worn but are now being worn for fashion. I have also fallen into this trap.
These shoes that look like big loaves of bread on your foot are primarily known for its comfortability and its recognizable silhouette. The rise of uggs after years of being in the dark has encouraged the brand to make new styles and colors because of its popularity. Uggs even made sneakers now which I personally think is crossing the line.

“My type of style is mostly thrifted clothes, I wear a lot of my dad’s clothes too and I like my clothes to look worn in.”
Why do you wear Uggs?
“I wear Uggs because they are comfy and they go together with a lot of different things. They come in a lot of colors and they are fun to wear.”
Uggs were very popular in the 2000s with Paris Hilton and Lindsey Lohan, who do you think is making them popular now?
“I wear uggs because my celebrity crush Ariana Grande wears them, and my dad.”

How would you describe your style?
“I would describe my style as simple and basic.
Why do you wear Uggs?
“I wear Uggs because since autumn has started, it’s started to get cold meaning it’s time to wear my warm attire.”

“I’m not sure who made them popular again but what I am certain about is that every trend always comes back. In a couple of years Uggs will die down again and some celebrity will come out wearing them and it will start trending again.”
